Department of Biology and Ecology is working on two projects:

1)         Program 217 "Development of Science", Subprogram 102 "Grant Funding for Scientific Research", Specific Area 156 "Payment for Consulting Services and Research", Priority "Rational Use of Water Resources, Animal and Plant Life, Ecology": A project titled "Development of an Ecological System for Phytosanitary Control of Destructive Biota (Phytophages and Phytopathogens) of Spring Wheat in the Northeast of Kazakhstan," No. 66KMU2/4 from February 24, 2021.Execution period: March 3, 2021 - December 31, 2021, with funding of 15,095,360 tenge. Execution period: January 5, 2022 - December 31, 2022, with funding of 14,988,510 tenge. Execution period: January 5, 2023 - December 31, 2023, with funding of 11,858,710 tenge.

2)         Program 217 "Development of Science", Subprogram 102 "Grant Funding for Scientific Research", Specific Area 156 "Payment for Consulting Services and Research", Priority "Scientific Basis for Rational Use of Water Resources, Animal and Plant Life, Ecology": A project titled "Dendroclimatic Research Using Gradient Method (Transect) in the Territory of the State Forest Nature Reserve 'SEMey ORMANY'," IRN AP13068394, No. 113-KMU3/2 from May 20, 2022 position: Research Fellow.Execution period: May 30, 2022 - December 31, 2022, with funding of 14,067,362 tenge. Execution period: January 5, 2023 - December 31, 2023, with funding of 16,543,083 tenge. Execution period: January 3, 2024 - December 31, 2024, with funding of 19,434,520 tenge.

"Toraigyrov University" annually organizes advanced training courses for students and teaching staff aimed at deepening knowledge of foreign languages, and also invites foreign lecturers from leading foreign universities. The Department of Biology and Ecology conducted advanced training courses on the topic "Monitoring of climatic and hydrological indicators under climate change" (72 hours) from November 9 to December 6, 2023. Lectures on modern areas of biology and ecology within the framework of the course were given by a foreign lecturer, Professor Miroslav Kravka from the University of Natural Sciences, Czech Republic, Prague. Teachers of the department actively participate in international conferences and publish the results of their research both in scientific collections of the Republic of Kazakhstan and abroad.
