1 Research and development work

Head of the Department Alexey Anatolyevich Titkov, as well as faculty of the Department Shelomentseva Valentina Pavlovna, PhD, Professor; Mashrapov Nurlan Kudaibergenovich, PhD, Associate Professor; Kunyazova Saule Kairbekovna, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor; Karimbergenova Madina Kudaibergenovna, PhD; Amerkhanova Aigerim Khairullovna, Master; Bakpaeva Asia Kudaibergenovna, Master; Imangalieva Indira Tleubergenkyzy, Master's degree, were involved in a contractual research work on the topic: "Strategy of socio-economic development of the Aktogay district of the Pavlodar region" within the framework of the agreement "Development of a strategy for the development of the entrepreneurship program of the Aktogay district of the Pavlodar region".

In January 2023, a research project "Work on the development of short-term courses on in-demand professions and skills in the labor market in the areas of "Marketing and Management", "Business and Management" was carried out for "Enbek resursstaryn damytu ortalygy" / JSC "Center for Human Resources Development". Scientific supervisors – Ernazarov T.Ya., Candidate of Technical Sciences, Professor, Titkov A.A., Candidate of Economic Sciences, Professor, Sherimova N.M., Master of Economics. The purpose of the research was to update the reference databases of the Unified Information System of the social and labor sphere based on the development of short-term courses on professions and skills in the labor market in the areas of "Marketing and Management", "Business and Management". The courses have been tested and placed for use on the Republican Skills.Enbek platform

In January 2023, documentation was prepared and a Memorandum of scientific cooperation was signed between the ToU and JSC "Institute of Economic Research" represented by Sultanov R. S. (Astana, RK). During the joint meetings, discussions were held within the framework of the "Study of minimum standards" and the "Concept of Rural development of the Republic of Kazakhstan". In February 2023, documentation was prepared and a Memorandum of scientific cooperation was signed between the ToU and the Autonomous Non-profit Educational Organization of Higher Education of the Central Union of the Russian Federation "Siberian University of Consumer Cooperation" represented by Rector Bakaitis V. I. (Novosibirsk, Russia). Within the framework of the current memorandum, it is planned to exchange scientific publications and methodological developments, joint scientific publications, the release of joint monographs, textbooks.

2 Participation in competitions for grants, prizes, scholarships

Grant applications for conducting scientific research under the Program of the Science Foundation of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

During the 2022-2023 academic year, an Application was submitted for the project "Technology development and promotion of environmental branding of the industrial complex of the region" (amount 47.711 million tenge) for participation in grant financing of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the priority direction of science development: "Research in the field of social sciences and humanities", "Current problems of research in the field of microeconomics, management, business entities and business environment development". The staff of the Department of Economics has been announced as part of the working group of the project: Davidenko Lyudmila Mikhailovna, Candidate of Economic Sciences, PhD in Economics, Titkov Alexey Anatolyevich, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor (Associate Professor), Arynova Zulfiya Amangeldinovna Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Kunyazova Saule Kairbekovna, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Amirova Maral Akbayevna, PhD in Economics, Sherimova Nurzhanat Mukhtarovna, Master Economics, Karimbergenova Madina Kudaibergenovna, PhD in Economics, Beisembina Ansagan Nygmetovna, Master of Economics, Kuniyazova Aliya Zhanybekovna, Master of Economics.

Students' participation in research and development competitions.

Students of the Economics Department took part in international scientific and practical conferences. Prizes were awarded to 5 students in three conferences.

In October 2022, Margarita Foos, gr. Men-202, scientific supervisor, Master of Economics Sherimova Nurzhanat Mukhtarovna, took 1st place in the section "Public Administration and Public Service" with the work "Development of innovative Management" at the MNPK "XIV Toraigyrov Readings" (ToE).

Dmitrenko Valentina and Askarova Olga, scientific supervisor Davidenko Lyudmila Mikhailovna, PhD, associate professor, with the work "ESG-transformation of the Pavlodar region" took 1st place in the section "Economy of the Pavlodar region: state, problems, prospects".

In April 2023, at the MNPK XXIII Satpayev Readings (ToU), Foos Margarita, gr. Men-202, scientific supervisor, Master of Economics Sherimova Nurzhanat Mukhtarovna, with the work "Digital Economy Management" took 2nd place in the section "Economics and Management in business and at the state level". 

In April 2023, Valentina Dmitrenko, a student of En-402, took part in the All-Russian Youth Scientific Readings named after Professor N.N. Protopopov, held at the Siberian University of Consumer Cooperation (SibUPK, Novosibirsk, Russia), with the work "Economic integration in the face of new challenges and threats (case of an international network KDV Group LLC)", scientific supervisor Lyudmila Mikhailovna Davidenko, PhD, Associate Professor; took 2nd place in the section "Modern trends in economic development: theory and practice".

In May 2023, Mikhail Sergeevich Aleksin, a student of the Men-202, took part in the International Competition of Scientific and Practical projects "Information Society: Informatics, Economics and Education", held at the site of the MNPC "Digital Transformation: Informatics, Economics and Education", NRU "Moscow Power Engineering University" (Moscow, Russia), with the work "GPT and the new generation of artificial intelligence for education", scientific supervisor Svetlana Zolotareva, PhD, Associate Professor; took 2nd place. 

It is important to note that the active participation of students in research work opens up opportunities for obtaining grant support. In particular, students of Foos Margarita (gr. Men-202), Dmitrenko Valentina (gr. En-402) became holders of a Presidential scholarship.

Participation in startup projects and entrepreneurship competitions.

Undergraduates of the MMen-12n group Patrushev Alexander Alexandrovich, Almagambetova Janelle Kairzhanovna, Kanavets Stanislav Alexandrovich as part of the Aspire Team took part in the International Case Championship Case4Success 2023, which took place on March 27 - April 03, 2023 at Turan University, Almaty. The investors and partners of the case championship were the leading companies: Mars Kazakhstan, Royal Canin, Efes Kazakhstan, PepsiCo, Tribune, Central Asian Marketing Association. The Aspire Team, scientific supervisor Lyudmila Mikhailovna Davidenko, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, took 1st place, having successfully solved the case of Efes Kazakhstan. Undergraduates received valuable gifts and the opportunity to study for free in the selected courses "Google Tables for Business", "Strategic Marketing", "Project Management" on the LABA platform.

Through the efforts of the Department of Economics, in January – February 2023, 2024, an international competition of student scientific papers on economic specialties was organized and held on the topic: "Sustainable development of the national economy in a dynamically changing global geopolitical situation" among Kazakhstani and foreign higher education institutions. The winners in section 1 "The main trends of modern world development, and their impact on the sustainability of the national economy" were students of the 3rd and 4th years of higher education institutions: Kazakh National University. Al-Farabi, Innovative Eurasian University, Alikhan Bokeikhan University, Atyrau University named after H. Dosmukhamedov", Miras University, NAO "Kazakh Agrotechnical University named after Seifullin". The winners in section 2 "Strategy for sustainable Development and digitalization of industries" were university students: Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation (Financial University), Autonomous Non-profit Educational Organization of Higher Education of the Central Union of the Russian Federation, Siberian University of Consumer Cooperation, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty Technological University, Almaty, Almaty Management University, Almaty Management University.
