The anniversary of the director of the scientific and practical center of history and ethnography of the region named after E. Bekmakhanov, Ph.D., professor Amantay Kudabayev was celebrated in S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

Amantay Zhetpisovich is the compiler and author of such works as the 3-volume encyclopedic edition of “Kazakh madeniyeti”, a book about the life of thinkers of the Kazakh steppe “Dala danalara”, a series of 50 volumes of Kereku-Bayan kitapkhanasy “Ruhnama”, “Kazakh til biliminin antologiyasy” (45 volumes), as well as books “Sharapatty Olzhabay”, “Alkey Margulan zhane ult kelbetі”, “Yermukhan Bekmakhanov zhane tarikhi shyndyk” and “Bekmurat Uakhatov”(6 volumes).

In his works, the author refers to the best examples of national literature and culture, individual historical figures of Kazakhstan.

Special attention should be given to a series of encyclopedias telling about the life and work of M.Zh. Kopeyev, S. Toraighyrov, the 35 volumes of the “Kereku akyn zhazushylarynyn antologiyasy”, dedicated to poets and writers of Pavlodar Irtysh region and much more.

It is also worth noting that A. Kudabayev is the compiler and responsible editor of the encyclopedia of Pavlodar region in the Kazakh and Russian languages “Ertistin Pavlodar oniri”.

Over the years of research work, A. Kudabayev made an enormous contribution to the development of the state programs “Cultural Heritage”, “Rukhani zhangyru”, “Seven Facets of the Great Steppe”. Thus, a fund of historical encyclopedic literature in the state language and an integral system for studying cultural heritage, including modern national culture, folklore, was created, archaeological, archival and ethnocultural studies were compiled and systematized.

Today, A. Kudabayev continues to work on the creation of encyclopedias “Alkey Margulan” dedicated to the founder of the Kazakh school of archeology and ethnography, Kazakh scientist-archaeologist, orientalist, historian, literary critic A. Kh. Margulan and “Shokan Ualikhanov” dedicated to the historian, ethnographer and educator Sh. Ualikhanov.A.Zh. Kudabayev is a holder of the Order “Kurmet”. The recognition of his merits was also the awards of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Kurmetti kyzmetkeri”, “Astanaga 10 zhyl”, “Ana tіlіnіn aybary”, “KR Madeniet kairatkeri”, “KR Tauelsіzdіgіne 20 zhyl” medals “Pavlodar oblysyna 75 zhyl”and “Oblys aldynda sinirgen enbegi ushin”.
