Alar Akilbekov, a young developer from Pavlodar, became the first in the republican competition of scientific projects in the direction of mathematical modeling of economic and social processes.

Alar presented a mobile application that he has been working on since September 2020.

The application scans handwritten text in Kazakh and translates it into electronic format.  The work is based on neural networks.

The application can recognize text from 80 to 90 percent, and if the calligraphy is beautiful, you can achieve one hundred percent recognition.

Throughout the entire time, the consultative assistance to the young developer was provided by the IT-HUB staff of Toraighyrov University.

“Computer vision and artificial neural networks are a topical IT direction.  The Alar's application can become a new impetus in the development of domestic software products for handwriting recognition, which allow automating the solution of routine tasks”, emphasizes Dariya Abykenova, head of IT-HUB.
