A training on working with the information analysis system Scopus and Science Direct was held at PSU. The organizers were JSC “Science Foundation” in cooperation with Elsevier company.

Elsevier is one of the four largest scientific publishing houses in the world, which annually issues about a quarter of all articles published in the scientific journals of the world.

Scopus and Science Direct are products of the company, allowing scientists, teachers and students to track, analyse and visualise scientific research of all fields of science. The work of the platforms is aimed at improving the quality of scientific research, the process of training or teaching.

Regional information consultant of the company Dina Shaikhislam told about modern information and analytical support of research activities and the possibilities of using Elsevier resource in scientific work.

Dina Shaikhislam paid special attention to the modern capabilities of the full-text database of Science Direct, as well as the world's largest abstract and analytical database of scientific publications and quotations of Scopus. She talked about how to choose a journal for publication, which criteria you need to pay attention to, how to track publications using author profiles, and much more.

The audience had the opportunity to ask questions during the training.
