A dialogue platform on Khanafi Madhab and Its Historical Role for Kazakhstan was held for PSU students under the Bilim+ project in the Academic Council Sessions Hall of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University on March 26, 2014.
The purpose of the dialogue platform is to explain the historical role of the spiritual heritage of Imam Agzam Abu Hanifa in formation of human values and preserving national characteristics in Kazakhstan.
The event was organized by the Regional Scientific and Practical Center for the Study of Inter-ethnic and Inter-religious Processes.
Among the participants of this dialogue platform were representatives of government agencies, religious organizations, deans, teaching staff members, undergraduate and graduate students of nine faculties, heads and members of the student self-government bodies, and the Kyz Zhibek club.

Ongarov, specialist in Islam Studies and Theology, Doctor’s degree student, Head of the Department of Education and Internet Proaganda of the Spiritual Administration of the Muslims of Kazakhstan (online participation); N.D. Manapbayev, naib imam of the Central Mosque named after Mashkhur Zhusup Kopeyev; N.Ye. Kairbekov, specialist in Islam Studies, Master of International Relations, Doctor’s degree student of Nur Mubarak Egypt University of Islamic Culture, M.Zh. Kozhamzharova, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Culturology of S. Toraighyrov PSU; A.A. Musagazhinova, Master of Arts in History, senior lecturer of the Department of History of Kazakhstan; Zh.K. PSU students had a unique opportunity to learn about the life of Abu Hanifa, his personal qualities, the reasons why Khanafi Madhab became acceptable in the Kazakh steppe, and its distinctive features that make it different from other theological schools.
Besides, each participant of the event had an opportunity to express his or her opinion regarding the place and role of religion in the cultural and spiritual life of modern Kazakhstan, propose the ways of reviving, preserving and strengthening the spiritual, moral and religious values.
