An open lecture on "Decarbonization of the Economy: From Theory to Practice" was held at Toraighyrov University.

 

 

The lecturer was Candidate of Geographical Sciences,  Professor of the Department of Geography and Tourism Alexander Bely.

The lecture covered issues on anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions, their impact on the economy and ecosystems, as well as practical mechanisms and cases of decarbonization in various sectors, including energy, transport, tourism and construction. Particular attention was paid to national climate policy, legislative initiatives and employment opportunities for specialists in the context of a low-carbon transition.

The audience included 3rd-4th year students, master's students and doctoral students.
