Toraighyrov University's dissertation councils continue their work.

A doctoral dissertation in biology was defended by doctoral student Asel Zakanova on the topic of "Fauna and ecology of small mammals of North-Eastern Kazakhstan under the influence of anthropogenic impact."

The scientific consultants were Nurlan Yerzhanov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Biology and Ecology at ToU, and Yuri Litvinov, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor, Head of the Laboratory of Community Ecology and Vertebrate Animals of the Institute of Systematics and Ecology of Animals (ISEA), SB RAS, Novosibirsk, Russia.

The dissertation was completed at the Department of Biology and Ecology of Toraighyrov University.

Every year, doctoral students from both Toraighyrov University and other Kazakh universities defend their dissertations.

In total, the university has six dissertation councils in the following areas: biology, electrical engineering, transport, transport engineering and technology, metallurgy, philology, pedagogy, and psychology.
