History of the Department of Trilingualism

The Department of Trilingualism was established on July 1, 2020 on the basis of three departments: "Kazakh Language and Journalism", "Russian Philology" and "Foreign Languages". The Department of Trilingualism is a service department for all educational programs: Kazakh language, Russian language, English language, German language, Professional Kazakh language, Professional Russian language.

The teaching staff of the department conducts classes in the disciplines of educational programs, as well as in the specialties of the master's degree.

Scientific Research Work

The faculty of the department annually take part in competitions for grant funding from the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Thus, in 2021, the head of the department Zeynulina A.F., Uaikhanova M.A. implemented a project on the topic "Development of leadership skills among students of non-linguistic specialties in English and Kazakh language lessons at the university" in the amount of 4,993,456.00 tenge; for the period from 06.01.2020 to 31.12.2022, A.Zh. Anesova, Ergaliyeva S.Zh. received a grant in the amount of 9,205,832.9 thousand tenge for the implementation of the project on the topic "The problem of forming a value-based national picture of the world in the context of the modernization of society and the state (based on the Kazakhstani everyday political discourse)". In 2022, S.Zh. Ergaliyeva won a grant for work on a project on the topic "Axiological dominants of Kazakh linguoculture: traditions and innovations (based on everyday virtual communication)" in the amount of 9,593,988 thousand tenge. For 2022-2024, Ergaliyeva S.Zh. received a grant for the implementation of the project "Axiological dominants of Kazakh linguoculture: traditions and innovations (based on everyday virtual communication)" - 33,975,000 tenge. In the competition for grant funding for research by young scientists "Zhas Galym", senior teacher. Tashekova A. T. won a grant for 2024-2026 in the amount of 28,316,363 tenge. As a scientific consultant for a postdoctoral student of the Department of Personal Development and Education, Uaikhanova M. A. won a competition for grant funding for research by young scientists under the Zhas Galym project for 2024-2026 on the topic of “Psychological and pedagogical support for the development of soft skills (flexible skills) of university students: effective practices and prospects” - 24,819,382 tenge. Thus, the total amount is 110,904,021.9 tenge.

         The funded research work is an integral part of the activities of the teaching staff of the Trilingualism Department. Head of the Department Zeynulina A.F., Senior Lecturer Kozhakhmetova B.R. conducted online lessons for residents and civil servants of the city of Ekibastuz "Kazakh Language Workshop" on the basis of an agreement on business accounting in the amount of 1,447,040.00 tenge (2021), 4 seminars for teachers of the region on the topic "Content of intensive Kazakh language training" on the basis of a business accounting agreement of SMARTSTART LLP in the amount of 800,800 tenge (2022); PhD in Philology, prof. Manyapova T.K. the following courses were held: "Critical Thinking for the Development of Subject Competencies within the Framework of the Updated Educational Content" (04.11.2020, Order No. 7.1 - 09/811; number of students - 16 people) - 208,000 tenge; "Development of Subject Competencies within the Framework of the Updated Educational Content" in the amount of 1,056,000 tenge (06.05.2021 Order No. 3.2.1-03/317; number of students - 27 people; 09.04.2021 Order No. 3.2.1-03/242; number of students - 69 people); scientific and methodological course "Research of psychological, pedagogical and social problems (project-research aspect)" for teachers of educational organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan (order No. 3.1-07 / 532 dated September 15, 2023, number of course participants - 20 people, 2023) - 300,000 tenge; PhD in Philology, Assoc. Prof. Ysqaq B. A. took part in the final comprehensive examination of reports on grant funding as an expert - 302,000 tenge. The total amount was 4,113,840 tenge.

         International cooperation

The faculty of the department cooperates with universities in Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey and Azerbaijan. In 2024, the head of the department A.F. Zeynulina, senior lecturer B.R. Kozhakhmetova took part in the XI International Symposium on Research of the Turkic World, organized by the Baku Eurasian University jointly with the Turkish Nijde Omer Halisdemir University and the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University.

Publication of articles

Over the past 5 years, the faculty of the Department of Technical Language has published 226 scientific papers, including 26 articles in internationally cited journals (Thomson Reuters, Scopus, etc.); 77 articles in scientific journals recommended by the Committee on Quality Assurance of Higher Education of the Ministry of Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan; 116 articles in the materials of domestic and foreign conferences; 7 monographs.

A certificate of entry of information into the state register of rights to objects protected by copyright was received for the electronic textbook (computer program) “English for undergraduate and graduate students of pedagogical specialties” by E.A. Novoselova (protocol No. 5 dated 12.01.2024).

         Research work with students

The faculty actively publishes the results of research with students. Based on the results of individual work with students, student reports are presented annually at various conferences. Over the past 5 years, 28 articles have been published together with students.

Students under the guidance of the faculty of the department win prizes at conferences and Olympiads of various levels:

1) under the guidance of PhD in Philology, prof. Manyapova T.K. students A.A. Zholdasbekova, M.M. Kaidar took 2nd place at the international scientific and practical conference "XVI Toraighyrov Readings", Pavlodar, 2023;

2) under the guidance of senior teacher Adilbaeva D.S. student of group Azh-101 (Information Systems) Abishev Arman took 2nd place in the Republican Olympiad of schoolchildren and students "Kazakhstan Educational Olympiad - 2023", the student took 3rd place in the international scientific conference "XXIV Satpayev Readings" (2024); 

3) 3rd place was taken by the team (consisting of E. Magarramov, D. Kim, I. Azatov) in the Republican Subject Olympiad among students of other nationalities of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the discipline "Kazakh language", organized by the Department of "Kazakh Language and Literature" of the Pedagogical Institute of Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov (04/27/2023).

Also Tashekova A.T. is a winner of “Tauelsizdik Urpaktary - 2024”

During its existence, significant contributions to the development of the department were made by: K.Kh. Tekzhanov, K.Kh. Rakhimzhanov, M.K. Akosheva, Zh.B. Bekturova, G.N.Kenzhebalina, N.A. Shakhmetova, N.R. Omarov, Zh.K. Bijan, Z.Kh. Latypova, Zh.I. Mananbaev, S.K. Shaimardanova, T.K. Manyapova.

On April 23, 2024, Elena Aleksandrovna Novoselova defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on the topic "Specifics of Russian Literature of the Pavlodar Irtysh Region" in the specialty 6D020500 - "Philology" in the dissertation council of the NAO "Toraighyrov University". A diploma was received on the award of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy PhD in the specialty 6D020500 - "Philology", No. 0015411324 dated 07/15/24

On September 26, 2024, Gulbanu Aitmukhamedovna Kabzhanova defended her dissertation for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the specialty 6D010300 - Pedagogy and Psychology on the topic: "Pedagogical conditions for the formation of metacompetence in foreign language training of students based on smart resources". The order to award the academic degree was approved on November 8, 2024.
