 The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Standardization has a lot of talented students among its students, but it should be noted separately that Ilsur Talgatovich Tukaev, a student of the Ms-202s group, is
- member of the national team;
-expert of the Pavlodar region in the competence of "Turning on CNC machines";
-Participant of WorldSkills Special Edition Germany, Leonberg (2022) - turning works on CNC machines;
-Winner of WorldSkills Pavlodar (2022) - milling operations on CNC machines;
-Winner (3rd place) of WorldSkills Kazakhstan (2021) - turning works on CNC machines;
-The winner of WorldSkills Pavlodar (2021) - turning works on CNC machines.

In the republican competition (NAO "South Kazakhstan University named after M. Auezov") among the best research and development under the guidance of Ph.D., Professor I.A. Shumeyko, the research work of the student Meyrbek R.Zh. on the topic "Research and development of a highly efficient wind turbine for lifting ground water" was awarded a diploma of the III degree.

​In addition, students are actively interested in 3D modeling, the annual cathedral competition for designing a Yurt in 3D on Nauryz is increasingly attracting students to take part in it. In March 2023, the first place in the competition was taken by the student of the group M SiRI-102 Aralov Dias.

Annual organization by students of groups of the educational program Standardization, certification and metrology in the organization of the event to celebrate the Day of Standardization

Student group SM - 202 Fedorenko K. in 2022, the following events were held: two large events were organized by the University with a public private fund in the amount of 600,000 tenge, as well as by sponsors.  More than 800 people living in Pavlodar were trained and issued certificates from Astana Hub for 52-year-olds. A number of startup projects were presented in the SMI from the name of the International Startup Academy Toraighyrov University).

Every year students take an active part in the International Scientific Conference of Young scientists, undergraduates, students and schoolchildren "Satpayev readings", in the International scientific and Practical Conference "Toraigyrov readings", publications in scientific journals, publications in the materials of foreign conferences.
