Kyilybai Usenovich Medeubekov (born May 15, 1929 in the village of Leninskoye, Leninsky district, Shymkent region) is a Kazakhstani scientist, public and political figure, professor, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Academy of Agricultural Sciences.

In 1948, he graduated from the 10th grade school in the village of Leninskoye, Kazygurt district.

- In 1953 he graduated with honors from the Zootechnical Faculty of the Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K. A. Timiryazev, was awarded the Orders of Lenin and the Red Banner of Labor.

1953-1957 - laboratory assistant, post-graduate student of the Moscow Timiryazev Agricultural Academy;

- 1957 -graduated from graduate school, Medeubekov successfully defended his PhD thesis;

1986-90 - Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- 1979 - 91 - Vice-President of the All-Union Agricultural Academy, Chairman of the Presidium of the Eastern Branch for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan;

- Engaged in scientific work and held senior positions in scientific research institutions of the republic. Since 1997, he has been working at the scientific and production center of animal husbandry and veterinary medicine. As a result of Medeubekov's research work, together with academician A. Elamanov, a high-yielding breed of sheep of the republic, the North Kazakh Merino, was bred.

Since 1997, he has been the head of the Center for Breeding and Genetics of KazNITI sheep.
