Shamken Kasenuly was born in 1940. Associate professor of the department of "Higher Mathematics", professor of Pavlodar State University named after S. Toraigyrov. In 1957 he entered the physics and mathematics faculty of Semipalatinsk Pedagogical Institute named after N. Krupskaya on specialty "Mathematics and physics". After graduation from the institute he began his career as a teacher of mathematics in his native school. From 1962-1964 he served in the Armed Forces of the USSR, after graduation he continued to work at the school. From 1967 - 1986 he taught at Pavlodar Pedagogical Institute at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics. Worked as deputy dean, secretary of the party organization of the faculty of Pavlodar Pedagogical Institute.
From 1973-1976 he studied in the postgraduate program at the Novosibirsk State University named after Lenin Komsomol. From 1973-1976 he studied at the Novosibirsk State University named after Lenin Komsomol and defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences.
From 1986-2006 he worked as an associate professor at the Department of Higher Mathematics at PSU named after S. Toraigyrov.
From 1990-1996 he headed the department of "Higher and Applied Mathematics" of the university. By the decision of the State Commission of the USSR on National Education from April 17, 1990 № 388/6 was awarded the academic rank of associate professor at the department of higher mathematics. By the decision of the Academic Council of Pavlodar State University named after S. Toraigyrov from January 26, 2004 was awarded the academic title of Professor of Pavlodar State University named after S. Toraigyrov.
