A round table “Enhancing the role of trade union organizations in labor collectives is an important factor in the motivation of trade union membership” was held at PSU today, on July 15, 2019.

This event was attended by: Acting Rector of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Begentayev M.M., Chairperson of the territorial trade union amalgamation “Trade Union Center of Pavlodar Region” Aitzhanova D.N., the academic staff of the university and representatives of trade unions of the region.

The purpose of the “round table” is to develop a unified strategy for interaction between employers, trade unions and educational organizations in the training process. In her speech, the moderator of the round table D. Aitzhanova noted that this issue is timely and topical, because, like all advanced social forces, trade unions have entered upon the path of modernization. In the Pavlodar region, the trade union membership base consists of more than 136 thousand members, 1380 primary trade union organizations work. As is known, on May 22, 2019 the Day of Trade Unions was established by the Decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 303 dated October 10, 2019 , in essence, this is the introduction of the notion of a trade union official. ”Next year Pavlodar region will celebrate the 70th anniversary of the creation of the Regional Council of Trade Unions. It is historically known that in 1929 primary trade union organizations existed at the salt-mining enterprises of Pavlodar region and a collective agreement was adopted. As the most widespread public organization, trade unions are called to represent and protect the rights of workers, to conduct public control over the creation of safe working conditions and the moral and psychological climate in the team, and together with the employer to develop social partnership.

The Acting Rector of S.Toraighyrov PSU M. Begentayev paid attention of the participants of the round table that trade union activities should be the subject of scientific research. In this regard, for the first time at the Department of Management and Political Science, a specialized magistracy in training trade union specialists was opened, after which an academic degree of Master of Social Sciences will be awarded.

The Federation of Trade Unions of the Republic of Kazakhstan supported the initiative of Pavlodar State University, the chairperson B. Abdіraiym, being a doctor of law, expressed readiness to hold a public lecture, to establish nominal scholarships for the best graduates.

In their reports, Professor of S.Toraighyrov PSU Zozulya T.N., Cndidate of Historical Sciences. Shamshudinova G.T., PhD, Associated Professor of S.Toraighyrov PSU told about the directions of joint activities and outlined the following decisions and ways of cooperation for joint activation with employers, heads of trade union and educational organizations activities on the development and implementation of educational programs for the preparation of trade union leaders; to continue the work of updating the content and improving the quality of implemented basic and additional professional educational programs.

Following the results of the round table, proposals were developed at a recommendatory level to educational organizations, with the aim of defining and developing a single course of interaction between employers, professional and educational organizations.
