For the ninth year in a row, S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University confirms its strong academic reputation, taking the 5th place in the National ranking of the best multidisciplinary universities of the country according to the Independent Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA, the results of the ranking of the best multidisciplinary universities of Kazakhstan - 2019, https://iqaa-ranking.kz

The methodology of the rating is scientifically grounded and approved by international experts in the field of higher education at the conferences of the International Observatory on Academic Ratings and Excellence (IREG) in Shanghai and Bratislava, published in the scientific journals “Higher Education in Europe” (London) and the “Journal of Higher Education” ( Shanghai).

The overall assessment of academic achievements of universities is carried out on 6 indicators: the student body, student learning results and the number of curricula implemented at the university, academic personnel: academic staff, research and innovation work, international cooperation, informational support. Statistical indicators are taken from independent sources, such as the database of scientific publications SCOPUS, Clarivate Analitics (formerly Thomson Reuters), Russian Science Citation Index (RSCI), external evaluation of educational achievements of university students, the number of university graduates studying within the “Bolashak” program, etc. Also, the methodology includes a reputational assessment of universities by Kazakhstan and foreign experts in the field of higher education and a reputational assessment of employers.

The rating results provide objective data for SWOT – analysis of the university activities (research of strength, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) and further improvement of indicators in all areas.
