The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Topical Issues of Ecology and Nature Management of Pavlodar Region” was held at S.Toraighyrov PSU named after on October 19, 2018.
Experts and scientists from Kazakhstan, Russia, and Sweden gathered to discuss the main environmental problems and their solutions.
In addition, deputy akim of Pavlodar region Dauren Makhazhanov, head of the Department of Subsoil Management, Environment and Water Resources of Pavlodar region Kadylzhan Satiyev, head of the Department of Ecology for Pavlodar region Daniyar Aliyev, as well as representatives of public associations and industrial enterprises of the region took part in the conference.
In her welcoming speech to the guests of the conference, the rector of Pavlodar State University Gaukhar Akhmetova, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences paid special attention to the aspects of the activities of PSU in the framework of the Year of Ecology in Pavlodar region.
“We all need to understand what maximum permissible loads on natural systems we can afford within our industrial and economic activities. Often, the collision of economic and environmental approaches is inevitable, while the solution of these problems only by economic or industrial methods is impossible. A big integrated approach is needed here”, G. Akhmetova noted.
She also emphasized that power, experts, science are all a single whole in terms of promoting environmental priorities.
A number of research projects of scientists from S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University were presented to the audience at the exhibition. This is a project on the use of pedestrian plates for generation of electric energy, developed using industrial waste, autonomous lamps on solar batteries, briquetting from renewable organic materials.
Chemists also contribute to the agenda. They propose to obtain polymer threads for 3D printing from recycled plastic, as well as to recycle waste oils to produce fuel and lubrication materials.
The work of the conference continued in six sections, and about 100 scientific articles were published.
