Philippe Martine, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the France to the Republic of Kazakhstan visited S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.
During the meeting Ph. Martine told about the advantages of studying in France, as well as about the scholarship program “Abay Verne”, within the framework of the agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic.
“100 grants are provided for the students, 90 of which are grants for master's student of the second year of study and 10 grants for doctoral students of Kazakhstani universities. There are no priority areas. Every student who wants to study in France can apply till June 15, 2018”, Ph. Martine said.
In addition, he noted that this program provides not only free education, but also an attachment to the general system of French social insurance, a long-term student visa, places in dormitories and much more.
Also, Philippe Martine drew the attention of the audience to another program on academic mobility “Make Our Planet Great Again’, for which 10 grants were allocated for the magistracy. The choice of specialties is also unlimited, the main requirement is that the educational program should be related to the themes of Paris Agreement on the environmental protection, combating climate change, water conservation, biodiversity, etc.
Let us recall that Kazakhstan was the first country where this academic mobility will be realized at the master's level.
Following the meeting, the attendees were able to ask questions about the deadline of the application, the general requirements, the choice of the university, as well as the amount of scholarships and terms of study.
