The week of the Kazakh language “Spirituality of the Great Steppe and national language” started at S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University within the framework of the “Rukhani zhangyru” program, aimed at studying the cultural heritage of the Kazakh people and education a sense of respect to the historical past.

The organizer of the event was the Department of Kazakh language and journalism of S.Toraighyrov PSU.

The audience was greeted by Arman Akishev, Vice Rector for development strategy, educational and social work and Ayman Zeynulina, Candidate of Philological Sciences, professor, the head of the Department of Kazakh language and journalism.

Everyone interested had an opportunity to take an active part in competitions, Kazakh national games and stage performances, demonstrating traditions and customs of the people. A fair of national dishes was organized for guests, where they could taste a wide variety of dishes, as well as a book exhibition and presentation of original jewelry and works of decorative and applied art.

According to the organizers, the program of the week is diverse and covers several directions. For example, on April 24, intellectual games and competitions “Master of language” will take place among the teachers and students of the Faculty of Agricultural Technology and the Faculty of Metallurgy, Mechanical Engineering and Transport. 

In addition, on April 25within the framework of the event, a total dictation will be held in the Kazakh language with the use of Latin graphics and the Olympiad in the Kazakh language for students of indigenous and non-indigenous nationalities. 

At the end of the week, there will be a parade of national costumes, as well as a poetry party and a festive concert.
