On the day before the students and teaching staff of S.Toraighyrov PSU took part in the Republican Forum “Sanaly urpak - zharkyn bolashak” (“Conscious generations - is the bright future”), which was held under the auspices of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Civil Service Affairs and Anti-Corruption in cooperation with Akimat of Almaty.

The forum was timed to discuss the most topical issues of fight against corruption in the education system, development of intellectual frameworks and mechanisms for prevention in this area. The forum was held online and broadcasted to the largest universities in Kazakhstan.

More than 2,000 representatives of universities, colleges and schools, youth and student organizations, members of the supervisory boards, as well as local state authorities noted the importance of formation of the academic honesty principles and introducing the widespread public control in education as one of the priority tools for corruption prevention. 

Alik Shpekbaev, the head of the department, denoted the advantages of the previously approved “Public control card” project, which provides an opportunity for everyone to contact directly an authorized government body via instant messengers or social networks and tell their comments and suggestions.

In addition, a presentation of the project office of “Sanaly urpak” took place within the framework of the forum. It is expected that this model and successful experience of its applied use in the southern capital will become a trigger for changes in the education system of all regions of the country.
