As part of the explanation of the Address of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev, the seminar “Methodology of mathematical sciences teaching in a university in modern educational conditions” was held at the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technologies of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.
The Head of State in the seventh task of the Address to the people of Kazakhstan “New development opportunities in the conditions of the fourth industrial revolution” noted that human capital is the basis of modernization. For this, it is necessary to ensure a new quality of education, including, strengthening the quality of mathematical and natural sciences teaching.
Rector of Pavlodar State University, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences Gaukhar Akhmetova, welcoming the audience, noted the need to create their own author's educational programs.
In his report, Doctor of Engineering, Professor, B.N. Drobotun turned to the history of the formation of logic and identified the main stages of its development, noting that earlier the course of logic was one of the basic disciplines, and today it is excluded from the curriculum.
“Logical-algebraic sciences are carriers of the methodological potential of the general theory of knowledge, it follows thence the need to form and develop the fundamental foundations of logical algebraic education, both in universities and in schools. Include logic to the list of basic disciplines”,- said B. Drobotun.
It should be noted that the faculty implements the concepts of mass open online courses on the Learning-CDT platform, covering more than 5000 students of Kazakhstan, near and far abroad. The system allows increasing the availability of distance education, accumulating and disseminating the experience of the best university teachers in Kazakhstan and in the world.
Also, mobile applications for educational purposes are being actively developed, which make it possible to increase access to teaching materials for self-study of disciplines.
