A solemn event dedicated to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the "Bilik" newspaper took place in the foyer of PSU main building on October 20, 2017/

Anybody who wants to came to congratulate the newspaper with an important date: students and the deans, as for half a century it has been keeping its loyal readers in the course of the most relevant events in the university life.

During the celebration activists of the students radio station PGU-Fm conducted a moment prize drawing, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the newspaper. Only those who came to the drawing with the new issue of newspaper were able to take part in it,  more than 150 people came there. At the end of the drawing, the winners were awarded wit h presents, including a photo session, tickets for a football match and a theater.

The first issue of the newspaper "Znanie" was published on September 1, 1967, and during this time almost 1000 issues were published, 35 editors were replaced.

During all these years, the history of the newspaper was different: in the 90th edition of the publication was stopped, was resumed only in 1999, and with the beginning of the new millennium, there was a re-branding, the newspaper received its present name - "Bilik" and began to be published in Kazakh and Russian languages .

Today, "Bilik" newspaper has turned into a full-color illustrated edition, which is published in 12 pages and is distributed free of cost among students and staff of Pavlodar State University.

The newspaper "Bilik" is the keeper of the history of the multi-faceted life of the university, vital and memorable moments.
