Students of six specialties won victories at the Republican and International subject Olympiads.

The team of the Department of Biology and Ecology, which icludes Miras Zhumadilov, Almas Sakenov, Ayagoz Shayzadinova showed excellent results at the II International Subject Olympiad on Ecology and the Environment. Together with the head of the Department of Biology and ecology, doctor of biological sciences, professor Sholpan Zhumadina, students took the first place.

It is worth noting the silver prizewinners of the Republican Olympiad on economic specialties, which was held at the University of NARXOZ (Almaty). As a result, students Lenura Makhatova, Sabina Sadenova and Temeris Osmanova took the second place, leaving behind a number of prestigious Kazakhstani universities. Also with a set of awards from the Republican returned the team of chemists of PSU.

Students Adlet Ramazanov, Nurgul Ermekova, Al-Farabi Kopzhasar, under the leadership of Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Professor Kulshat Zhapargazinova took the second place in the team classification. Personal victory was won by Al-Farabi Kopzhasar,he won the second place.

The team of students Evgenia Pavlyuk, Batyrbek Nurmadi, Vladislav Heinz, Alisher Temirgaliyev, led by the head of the Department of Chemistry and chemical technology, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, associate professor Madeniet Elubai took the third place, presenting the scientific project on the effect of washing water quality on the degree of desalinization of crude oil. Also in the individual classification Evgeniya Pavlyuk took the second place of the competition.

The students of the specialty "Kazakh philology" Kasymkhan Mukhitov, Umit Amrinova and Akhmet Akhmadi, together with the leader, the head of the Department, the doctor of philosophy, professor Nurtai Zhusip became bronze prize-winners of the intellectual competition.

Fortune smiled upon Malika Akylbekova, who took the third place in the individual standings at the IX Republican inter-university subject Olympiad on the specialty "Life safety and environmental protection".
