The arrival of a group of teenagers is organized by the Pavlodar regional organization the Union of Youth of Kazakhstan.
Among visitors there were children from Norway, Denmark, the USA, Brazil and South Korea.
"Gap year" is the next year after the end of the school year, during which the student or pupil does not strive to enter the university or to find work, takes a break and goes on a journey. Thus the person can simply travel or combine a trip with work. "Gap year" is widely known in many countries of Europe, Australia, India, Israel, especially in the USA.
"The main meaning of journey, in which graduates go – is getting life experience, broadening their horizon and preparing for an adult independent life. In my opinion, the idea is excellent. PSU students were impressed by the possibility of communication in such a multicultural environment. At such meetings, the skills of speech activity are improved and conditions for effective inclusion in the multicultural educational environment of the university are provided. The interpenetration of cultures attracted interest of the children and a certain relation to this diversity", says the director of the Department of International Cooperation, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, associate professor Akmaral Kairbayeva.
To visit the city on the Irtysh, the guests were given two weeks. According to the teenagers, they liked Pavlodar, especially the trams on the streets of the city. In addition, teenagers visited the Startup Academy and got acquainted with the projects of the beginning entrepreneurs of PSU. Guests noted the ambitiousness and creativity of business models, which already have all the components to find their application and start to benefit to people.
