The solemn event devoted to the celebration of the 25th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan was held at S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

A solemn meeting was opened by Aryn Orsariyev, a rector of S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of political sciences, professor, making a presentation to the audience.:

"Our university has come a long way of development. The first four hundred of our students were trained in two barracks and ten single-store barns of the former military school in three faculties. The classes conducted 16 teachers of which only one had academic rank of associate professor. Today university has 66 specialties of Bachelor's programme, 46 - Master's programme 4 - doctoral programme PhD. 41 departments have 567 lecturers of which 47 doctors of sciences, professors and 227 candidates of sciences and associate professors. During the 25 years of independence, we have attracted more than 1 billion tenge for research projects, registered 635 patents, 498 copyright certificates. The results of the activities are the victories of our lecturers and students at various regional and national competitions. At this stage of development students of our university are not just looking for jobs, but create their own ", - said Aryn Amangeldiyevich.

Also during the solemn meeting Aryn Orsariyev handed badges named after Y. Altynsarin, "Honored Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan", as well as honorary certificate from the Ministry of Education and Science, letters of thanks from akim of Pavlodar region, the regional maslikhat and the regional branch of "Nur Otan" party. 

On this day they were also presented the certificates from the department for youth policy, honorary certificate from the culture department, from the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, from the trade union, and the Council of Veterans of Pavlodar region.

On behalf of the rector the diplomas and letters of thanks received the scientists and staff of the university for many years of work and contribution to the development of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Then, a concert was given to the participants of the solemn meeting, in which took part activists of the Student Philharmonic and artists of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan.
