A round table dedicated to Science Day and the 125th anniversary of the birth of academician K. Satpayev was held at Toraighyrov University.

- Day of Science Workers  is a holiday that unites everyone who has devoted their life to the search for truth and new knowledge.  It takes on special significance in the year of the 125th anniversary of Kanysh Satpayev.  The name of this man is rightfully inscribed in the golden chronicle of Kazakhstan science.  An outstanding geologist, the first president of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR, Kanysh Imantaevich, made a huge contribution to the study and development of the subsoil of our country.  Today’s "round table", like all our scientific and practical conferences and other meetings, has become a fruitful platform for the exchange of experience and ideas,” noted the rector of the university, Yerkin Sadykov.

 As part of Science Day, reports were made on the scientific prospects for the development of all faculties of the university, as well as achievements and contributions to science.

 Scientists at Toraighyrov University are engaged in such areas as technologies of environmentally friendly building materials, the production of natural herbal medicinal products in Irtysh region, scientific expertise in dairy and meat farming, as well as archaeological research of the historical development of North-East Kazakhstan and others.

 It is worth noting that in 2023, university scientists received grant funding in the amount of  958 million tenge, which is almost 2.4 times more than before.  There are seven dissertation councils at ToU.  In addition, four scientific journals of the university are published and recommended by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan.  In the last three years, 110 patents for inventions have been registered.
