Toraighyrov University hosted an international scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 40th anniversary of the founding of the Department of Metallurgy.

The conference participants were prominent scientists from Kazakhstan and Russia.  The guests were welcomed by the rector of ToU Yerkin Sadykov, who reminded of the anniversary of the Department of Metallurgy of Toraighyrov University.
 - In the region where several largest enterprises of the mining and metallurgical complex operate, a strong school of metallurgists is vital.  Otherwise, where to get specialists for stable work and development of the industry?  And it is gratifying that one of the most important components of training for the local MMC is the Department of Metallurgy of  Toraighyrov University.  This year the 40th anniversary of its founding is celebrated.  During all this time, the department has trained thousands of specialists who work not only in the Pavlodar region, but also far beyond its borders.  Its teaching staff includes masters who have repeatedly proved their competence and professionalism.  I thank everyone who once worked and continues to work at our Department of Metallurgy!  Thanks to the participants of our conference and I wish you fruitful work!
 The conference was devoted to topical issues of the metallurgical industry and modern science, the achievements of metallurgy, as well as the problems of the development of the domestic industry.  The guests of the university shared their experience in introducing innovative technological processes to improve production and train personnel for the mining and metallurgical complex.  An exhibition of retro equipment and a visit to the KSP Steel pipe-rolling plant were organized for the conference participants.
