Lecturers from 12 countries visited Toraighyrov University as part of the program of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic to attract foreign scientists.
Lectures and seminars were held in such areas as chemical technology, finance and accounting, macro- and microeconomics, ecology, zooarchaeology, socio- and ethnolinguistics, agricultural technology, biotechnology and others.
By the way, a professor from India Dhankhar Surender spoke about 70 new varieties of vegetable plants, and also highlighted the prospects and opportunities for the introduction and variety testing of new Indian varieties in Pavlodar region.
He noted the potential for exchange of experience in the field of irrigated agriculture, determination of the rate of fertilization and salinization control, taking into account soil and climatic conditions.
Professor from the UK, Alan Outram said that he plans to stay here for further joint work with the director of the center for archaeological research Viktor Merz, and also noted that Toraighyrov University has long been involved in international projects that study the problems of neolithization and the formation of a productive economy in the steppe zone of Eurasia.
Sean Crummy talked about insemination and embryo washing out. In addition, the Irish specialist is responsible for breeding high-genomic bulls. "AL Total Kazakhstan" LLP, with which Sean Crummy collaborates, provides farmers with artificial insemination programs that include elite bulls and breeding solutions adapted to the needs of farms. Scientists from Toraighyrov University have also been working in this field for many years.
- Kazakhstan universities should not be in isolation from the rest of the world, we should study the best practices of higher education, know what scientists from other countries are working on, and interact with them. It depends on how prepared our universities and specialists will be for global competition, and, therefore, how much they will be in demand on the world labor market, - Yerkin Sadykov noted.
It should be noted that ToU invites foreign professors on a permanent basis. Professors from India, Turkey, Pakistan, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, Russia, Spain, Croatia, Ireland, Montenegro and Great Britain read lectures at the university.
