ToU is marked on the World Soil Day map, which means that the university celebrates World Soil Day under the auspices of the United Nations and the Food and Agriculture Organization.

- Soil is a strategic resource of any state. Due to certain reasons, little attention has been paid to soil problems in Kazakhstan over the past decades. Toraighyrov University trains in the specialties of ecology, agronomy and others directly related to solving soil problems, - said Toktar Bekseitov, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences .

Doctoral students, professors from Pakistan, who were invited by Shujaul Mulk Khan, a professor from Islamabad, and his colleagues from Toraighyrov University, spoke at the meeting.

Shujaul Mulk Khan himself made a presentation on the topic "Soil: where food begins." He spoke about the history of the holiday, the beginning of which comes from Thailand. The professor also noted the importance of soil as an indispensable component for life.

 A competition was held at the meeting among students for the best wall newspapers dedicated to Soil Day.
