An international scientific and practical conference "The role of museums in the study and preservation of the historical and cultural heritage of the Republic of Kazakhstan", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Pavlodar Regional Museum of History and Local Lore.  G.N.  Potanin was held in Pavlodar, which was attended by public and scientific figures.
 In addition, on this day, flowers were laid at the monument to Ch. Valikhanov and G. Potanin.

 - As a result of the research work of the museum staff, more than 143 thousand exhibits have been collected in its funds.  Their number is growing from year to year.  We want to present samples of new exhibits to residents and guests of Pavlodar region as an exhibition, - said Aizada Kurmanova, deputy akim of Pavlodar region.
 -  The Regional Museum of historical and local history named after G.N.  Potanin in Pavlodar is 80 years.  Thanks to its funds, we can reliably imagine how  our ancestors lived on the territory of the Irtysh region hundreds and thousands of years ago.  In the halls of the fund, you can return to the times of nomads, seeing what was on the site of Pavlodar 150 million years ago, and much more, - said the rector of the university Yerkin Sadykov.
