A lecture  on the topic “Financial pyramids and how to protect yourself from them” was held at Toraighyrov University, with the participation of Arman Zhunusov, head of the economic investigation department of Pavlodar region, and Arman Abetanov, criminal investigator at the Department of Internal Affairs, Department of Economic Investigations for Pavlodar region.

The rector of the university Yerkin Sadykov delivered a welcoming speech.  He noted that it is necessary to talk more often and louder about the financial literacy of the population, and then fellow countrymen will no longer fall under the influence of financial pyramids, which sometimes leave people with nothing.  It is useful for both young people and other people to know at least the basics of the economy in order not to fall for the tricks of frauds.

Arman Zhunusov spoke in detail about the types of financial fraud: with bank cards, Internet fraud, mobile fraud and fraudulent organizations.  He also noted that Kazakhstan has 13.1 points out of 20 possible in terms of financial literacy of the population.
Candidate of Legal Sciences, Professor Serik Bastemiyev spoke about the problems of investigating cases of lawyers in the course of investigating cases related to financial pyramids.  He also explained in detail the schemes of financial pyramids.
