Toraighyrov University organized free Kazakh and English courses for teachers
Language training for ToU faculty began on November 7th. 34 employees of the university decided to improve their Kazakh language, another 116 people study English language.
The HR service together with the talent management center of Toraighyrov University organized courses to improve the language skills of teachers. This year, HR-managers have already conducted four-month English courses for their colleagues, the results of which exceeded the wildest expectations.
- We organized training from February to June of this year, 165 people took part in it, - says Anar Zhakisheva, head of the HR office. - As a result, more than 40% of students received certificates of various levels. This is a very good indicator.
After that, the demand for free language courses among ToU employees has grown significantly, notes Zhanarsyn Kapenova, Associate Professor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, an expert at the Talent Management Center.
- 150 people applied for participation in the new courses, and 34 of them decided to improve their Kazakh, - Zhanarsyn Zhumatovna emphasized.
The university hopes that the training will also bear fruit. Moreover, the HR office of the university sets itself specific tasks. According to their forecasts, at least 20 students will eventually pass language tests, including Kaztest, IELTS and TOEFL, and 27 students will apply for master's and doctoral studies.
In addition to languages, Toraighyrov University teachers improve other skills as well. For example, recently ToU hosted courses on the development of speech image "Clearly! Expressly! Understsnbk!". ToU employees also had the opportunity to learn the basics of creating educational animated video content. This program is aimed at mastering practical skills in the use of interactive methods and support in the preparation and delivery of online lectures. In addition, an annual "Onboarding" (adaptation) seminar is held for first-time employees and coaching sessions for the candidate pool by business coach Zhanna Tulegenova.
The HR service promises to conduct such trainings and courses on a permanent and free basis.
