Experts  in environmental research and forestry from The State University of New York will teach the Cellular Biology course for ToU Master's and PhD students.

 

 As a reminder, a project to establish a partnership between the two universities in the field of biodiversity conservation and ecosystem restoration was approved for funding by the U.S. Embassy to Kazakhstan.

The established partnership between the universities of the USA and Kazakhstan is implemented in joint research work, scientific internships.  Scientists have already conducted joint field work in Pavlodar region, outlined steps for practical research and training.

In the Bayanaul National Park, teachers of a foreign university discovered the untapped potential of ecotourism in the region. 

“It's stunningly beautiful, but not many people go there,” recalls Dr. Lee Newman, Associate Professor of biotechnology and phytoremediation.  “We met with the National Geographic film crew, explored the cave, and met with the park manager and those responsible for reforestation.
We quickly realized that this place was ideal for creating new summer internships for our environmental students”.
