A roundtable was held at Toraighyrov University to discuss the State of the Nation Address by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev titled “Fair Kazakhstan: Law and Order, Economic Growth, and Social Optimism.”
Opening remarks were made by a member of the board and acting rector of Toraighyrov University, Nurlan Yerzhanov.
“In the context of global challenges, such as energy security, the development of nuclear energy has acquired particular importance for Kazakhstan. Preparing qualified personnel for the nuclear industry and conducting scientific research in this field play a key role in ensuring long-term sustainability and security. We must strive for Kazakhstan's future to be based on advanced technologies and scientific achievements, which will be the foundation of a fair and prosperous society,” noted Nurlan Yerzhanov.
The main theme of the round table was the exchange of views on issues of justice, law and order, economic growth, and social optimism raised in the State of the Nation Address.
Presentations were made by the academic staff, doctoral candidates, master's students, and students of Toraighyrov University. Questions were raised about the social and economic security of Kazakhstan as the foundation for the country's sustainable development, the role of nuclear energy in the country’s future, the preparation of personnel for nuclear power plants, and the prospects for scientific potential growth.
During the round table, issues concerning the provision of the country's energy security and the use of peaceful nuclear energy for the development of Kazakhstan were discussed.
