The beginning of the school year for freshmen begins with meeting advisers.  Advisors of the first-year groups were appointed: teacher Kamashev Serik Altynbekovich Asp-101;  senior teacher Gutenko Andrey Dmitrievich Pr-102;  senior teacher Isimova Bakyt Shaidulaevna Fiz-101;  senior teacher Zhuspekova Nurgul Zhumagazinovna Mekh-101, Mekh-102.  The advisers of the above mentioned groups conduct introductory conversations, where students are explained the rules of conduct in the university, the schedule of classes, the features of the ball-rating system and the training of credit technology.

 Excursions are conducted to familiarize with the main and additional buildings of S.Toraighyrov  PSU.

 Adviser hours are held on the following topics: “Mission, strategic goals and objectives, goals in the field of quality of S.Toraighyrov PSU"," Acquaintance with the Internal Regulations ".  Advisors draw up socio-demographic passports of first-year academic groups, lists of students from large families, orphans, students left without parental care.

 In September, “initiation into students” is held, as well as “Day of Health” is held on the territory of the Usolka microdistrict, where sports events are organized among students, teaching staff and employees.  In October, students organize a concert for Teacher's Day.  The following curatorial hours are held: "On the fight against corruption", "Talk in the state.  Language is our civic duty ", to the" Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan ".

 Students, Master's  degree  students and employees of the department participate in subbotniks for the improvement of the territory in accordance with the established schedule.  Information is provided on the passage of fluorographic examination of students, teaching staff and staff of the department according to the order of the dean's office.

 According to the plan of the university, students participate in the PSU championship, in the student Universiade in sports.  Also, cultural trips to theaters, concerts of the city, participation in concerts and evenings of recreation at the university, participation in student amateur performances under the guidance of the department responsible for the educational work of the department do not go unnoticed.
