Nurlan Yerzhanov, Acting Chairman of the Board-Rector of NPJSC Toraighyrov University, shared the plans for the development of the university at a press conference at the Regional Communications Service.

This year there will be the first admission to the new faculty of “Computer Science” and new creative specialties: art of singing and the art of acting.

The day before, the university was included in the list of 14 universities included in the authoritative international ranking of universities QS World University Rankings

Scientists are implementing 19 projects for a total amount of 527 million tenge on grant funding of scientific research.

As part of the implementation of the official instruction of the Head of State K.K.  Tokayev and the “Nur Otan” roadmap, Toraighyrov University was included in the list of 15 regional universities that will receive funding for the development of the material and technical base in the amount of 4 billion tenge from 2021 to 2024.

Within the program “Strong University - Strong Region”, a small innovation zone has been opened at the university, where 12 projects are being implemented, including  the production of building materials, eco-toys, liquid soap, antiseptics, natural cosmetics lines, furniture, etc.

In the business lending program “Zhas Halyk”, young scientists of the university received 18 concessional loans for a total amount of 125 million tenge for the development and opening of a business.

Within the Business Roadmap 2025, 3 projects are being successfully implemented for a total amount of 12 million tenge.

The tripartite interaction of government, science and business allows the university to employ graduates, reduce the teaching load and increase the income of the teaching staff.
