The XIII Republican Student Olympiad ended at L.N.  Gumilyov ENU.

Eight teams from different cities of Kazakhstan competed in archeology and ethnology.

Students of the Department of History of Kazakhstan: Bogdan Kapets, Aidana Almukhanova, Marzhan Salmenova, Galil Kairbayev are  in the top three.

The team of the Toraighyrov University  "Argonauts of the Irtysh Land"   under the supervision of Associate Professor Yernur Rakhimov presented the results of the archaeological and ethnographic practice of the 2020 field season, which took place on the basis of a Neolithic settlement - Borly.

“The Borly settlement is unique in the fact that the first horse breeders of Eurasia lived here.  They made microliths, arrowheads, molded the first clay pots in Kazakhstan, hunted, lived in the traditions of their fathers.  Our students personally came into contact with antiquity, found shards, fragments of stone implements.  Thanks to the guidance of the renowned archaeologist, Professor Viktor Merts, we completed our tasks and presented the university with honor, ” noted Yernur Kendibaevich.
