The 3rd republican forum of tripartite partnership NGO-business-state “ASAR” “Social innovation: the formula for the success of regional development” started at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.
The forum was organized by the Ministry of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the akimat of Pavlodar region and the non-commercial joint-stock company “Center for Support of Civil Initiatives”. Main partners: EurasianResourcesGroup (ERG), Konrad Adenauer Foundation and “Atameken” national chamber of entrepreneurs.
The event was attended by representatives of business structures, domestic and international NGOs, the expert community and central and local government agencies.
In her speech, Chairperson of the Committee on Civil Society Affairs Aliya Galimova noted that the work of the ASAR platform is aimed at increasing the level of trust, cooperation and partnership between various sectors of civil society and government bodies.
“Today, business has a great demand for social projects, and NGOs have a high level of expertise. So, for example, over one hundred social projects were collected on the online platform, some of which will be supported and invested in the framework of the forum. It is very important that the first day of the forum takes place within the walls of Pavlodar State University. PSU is traditionally a city-forming educational institution that not only trains personnel participating in the development of the economy, but also ideas, increasing human potential. ”
In a welcoming address to those present and Acting Rector of PSU, Doctor of Economics Meiram Begentayev noted that thanks to the work of UNICEF, the Civil Alliance, NGOs, and the deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament, a law on volunteering is in force in Kazakhstan, which we are proud of today.
“Next year, we hope, will be a year of volunteering. Now there is a dialogue at a new level between the Civil Alliance, local executive bodies. I hope that today at the forum we will have a fruitful and effective dialogue and we will make proposals that will further develop our country”, M. Begentayev said.
The forum continued its work on four discussion platforms: SOCIAL - ASAR “Effective models of business participation in the development of the social sphere”, ECO - ASAR “The world in the format of a “green” partnership”, IT - ASAR “The role of IT projects in the innovative development of the social sphere” and INCLUSIVE - ASAR “Time for an inclusive society”.
The program of the forum also includes workshops, master classes, seminars and the intellectual conference “Speaker # 7”.
The meeting will end with the signing of memoranda.
