A ceremony was held at Toraighyrov University to sign a memorandum between the Department of Emergency Situations of the Pavlodar region and Toraighyrov University.

In addition, an exhibition of scientific projects was organized on this day; university scientists demonstrated developments that could be useful in emergency situations. There was also a presentation on the specialty of life safety and environmental protection with a visit to the civil protection office.

It is worth noting that the specialty of life safety and environmental protection has been successfully functioning at the university since 2000, and during this time about 1000 people have graduated from it. Every year, ToU students and Master’s degree students have the opportunity to undergo professional practice in the Department of Emergency Situations, as well as in various structural divisions of this department.

- Today, thousands of our graduates work in the field of civil security both in Kazakhstan and abroad. Therefore, we are proud that today we can cooperate with emergency services. Toraighyrov University signed a memorandum with the regional department of emergency situations. We presented all scientific developments that may be useful in emergency situations to the management. Perhaps they will be adopted. Now our further cooperation with the Emergency Situations Department will become more effective. In any case, our university is ready for this,” said university rector Yerkin Sadykov.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Deputy Head of the Department of Emergency Situations of the Pavlodar Region, Colonel of Civil Defense Renat Valishanov, and the Chairman of the Board - Rector of the University Yerkin Sadykov.
